Weather Kaleidoscope: Forecaster Didenko Gave a Forecast for October 1.

On October 1, Ukraine will celebrate the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine, which coincides with the Feast of the Protection of the Holy Virgin. On this day, the weather will bring different temperatures and atmospheric conditions to Ukrainians.

Forecaster Natalia Didenko reported this in her weather forecast.

The night promises to be quite cool. Mostly, the air temperature will be from 9 to 13 degrees Celsius. However, residents of the western regions should prepare for lower temperatures - from 4 to 9 degrees above zero. In the Carpathians, the thermometer may drop to zero and even show small negative values.

Daytime temperatures on Tuesday will delight residents of the eastern, southern, and most central regions, where the air will warm up to 22-26 degrees Celsius. In the northern regions, a variety of temperatures is expected: from 14-18 degrees in the Zhytomyr region to 22-24 degrees in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. The Kyiv region will take an intermediate position with temperatures of 18-20 degrees. The coolest weather will remain in the western regions, where daytime temperatures are expected to be only 9-13 degrees Celsius.

The wind in most of Ukraine will gradually subside, but in the south and east of the country, its gusty nature will still be felt. No significant precipitation is expected in Ukraine on October 1.

Unfortunately, air quality may deteriorate in the coming days due to dust particles from the southeast and smoke from smoldering peat bogs. Earlier, the Hydrometeorological Center reported where the dust cloud is coming from to Ukraine.

In Kyiv, October 1 will be dry, and the wind will decrease to moderate. The night temperature in the capital will be around 10 degrees Celsius, and the daytime temperature will rise to 18-20 degrees.

Didenko also warned that the likelihood of rain would increase in the coming days — October 4, 5, and 6.
