Scientists Explained the Consequences of Catastrophic Warming

Scientists from Switzerland, Stanford, and Colorado have published alarming research findings indicating that the critical warming level of 1.5 degrees Celsius will be reached sooner than expected.

Researchers analyzed 10 climate models and found that 34 regions of the world will experience warming of 1.6 degrees Celsius by 2040. In 31 of these regions, the temperature will exceed 2 degrees Celsius, and in 26 regions, there will be a catastrophic increase in temperature of 3 degrees Celsius by 2060.

These figures are striking, as during the last Ice Age, the temperature was 5-6 degrees lower than it is now.

Scientists also stated that Arctic seas could be ice-free by 2027, and sea ice in Antarctica is rapidly diminishing, leading to global changes in weather and climate.
