According to TSN.ua: Kyiv's electricity supply is set to increase by 9 megawatts, a move expected to help alleviate the city's power deficit. The new capacity is scheduled to come online on February 8. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that efforts to restore energy infrastructure are proceeding on schedule, and this power boost is part of a broader strategy to improve the electricity supply situation. Ukraine's energy system has faced severe strain due to targeted attacks on its infrastructure.

Record Energy Imports and Humanitarian Aid

In a related effort to meet demand, the country has also recorded its highest-ever daily volume of electricity imports. This underscores the government's active measures to secure power for consumers under difficult circumstances. Since the invasion began, Ukraine has received 27,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid, with 25,100 tonnes already distributed across the regions. Over the past two weeks, 17 humanitarian shipments have arrived from 11 partner nations.

Equipment already dispatched to the regions includes:

• 774 generators,
• 40 modular boiler and cogeneration units.

Furthermore, the following aid has been announced for imminent delivery:

• 798 generators,
• 117 transformers,
• 120 boilers and cogeneration units.

The partner nations providing this crucial humanitarian support are Switzerland, Slovakia, Denmark, Canada, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Germany, Austria, Lithuania, and Italy.

The planned power increase for Kyiv and the record energy imports highlight Ukraine's push to overcome the severe energy challenges caused by the war.
