Senior combat medic of the 412th Nemesis Regiment Olena Ryzh reported that last year 70 thousand women served in the army, and this year there are already one hundred thousand. She noted that new opportunities are opening up for female servicemen. Olena also mentioned that this year the number of women in combat positions has increased, as more and more Ukrainian women become drone operators, signalers, and combat medics.
Over the past year, the number of women joining the Ukrainian army has increased. Approximately 30 thousand Ukrainian women have joined the army. Some women who received medical or pharmaceutical education this year are expected to appear at the TCC and SP. Furthermore, some women will automatically be conscripted for military registration, as decided by the Cabinet's decree.
