China has deployed bombers to disputed islands to demonstrate its power
China has decided to place its bombers on Woody Island in the South China Sea, which has provoked a wave of outrage among experts. This move is aimed at showcasing its military strength and intentions. It could be an attempt to show local and foreign opponents that China is not willing to compromise on its territorial claims.
'China is demonstrating its military strength by deploying bombers to the Paracel Islands. This is a message to its potential adversaries,' emphasized defense expert Collin Koh.
The H-6 bombers are equipped with anti-ship missiles and even nuclear warheads, raising serious concerns among diplomats. The placement of military equipment on islands that are considered disputed only heightens tensions in the region and increases the risk of potential conflicts.
