According to ТСН: China has urged all parties involved in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict to avoid escalating the situation and to work towards a political settlement. The spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian, expressed this view while commenting on the 'attempts to attack Putin's residence.'

'China calls on all interested parties to adhere to four principles: preventing the expansion of the conflict, refraining from escalating the situation, avoiding incitement to hatred, and creating conditions for a political settlement of the crisis,' Lin said.

The diplomat did not comment on Moscow's statement and made no remarks regarding the very fact of the 'attack.'

'We continue to insist that dialogue and negotiations remain the only realistic and viable path to resolving the Ukrainian crisis,' stressed Lin Jian.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also commented on the situation, expressing concern and stating that current diplomatic efforts are the 'most viable path' to ceasefire and establish peace.

Residents of Valday, the city closest to Putin's residence, reported that they noticed no signs of combat during the night of December 29. Journalists spoke with 14 residents of the city, all of whom claimed they heard neither the sounds of drones nor explosions that night.

These statements underscore international concern regarding the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. China and India, as key players on the world stage, continue to emphasize the importance of dialogue and communication to achieve stability in the region. Local residents, who did not feel an immediate threat, may point to the desired stability in their region; however, the context of the war remains complicated and tense.
