Chinese satellites over Lviv: what they transmitted to the Russian Federation before the strike on October 5.
According to inkorr.com: On October 5, during a massive Russian attack on western Ukraine, at least three Chinese reconnaissance SAR satellites flew in the sky. This was reported by the 'Militarny' portal, referring to data from the Heavens Above service, which tracks spacecraft.
Which satellites monitored the situation
Among the satellites monitoring Lviv were Yaogan 33, Yaogan 33-03 and Yaogan 33-04. They flew over the western regions nine times from 00:00 to approximately 11:30. Also, the optical reconnaissance satellite Yaogan 34 recorded the outskirts of Lviv around 6 AM.
Number of satellites over Ukraine
Yaogan series satellites conduct reconnaissance over the entire territory of Ukraine. In total, more than 60 satellites of various purposes operate over the country, capable of performing optical, radar, and electronic reconnaissance.
A representative of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Oleg Alexandrov, reported that China transmitted data from reconnaissance satellites to the Russians for strikes on Ukraine, including on facilities belonging to foreign investors. In turn, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China reacted to these accusations, asserting that nothing of the kind happened.
Foreign and Ukrainian experts confirm that China is actively assisting Russia in the conflict with Ukraine, providing support in the form of dual-use products and technical cooperation with Russian arms manufacturers.
Thus, during the Russian shelling of western Ukraine, Chinese reconnaissance satellites were spotted monitoring the situation in the region. A representative of the Ukrainian intelligence stated that information from these satellites was transmitted to the Russian military, which has been confirmed by foreign experts.
It should be noted that the activity of Chinese satellites in the context of the ongoing war raises serious concerns among Ukrainian military personnel and strategists. The observation of such devices has become another indication of the high level of cooperation between China and Russia, which may influence the further development of the situation in Ukraine and the region as a whole.
