Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated that the Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris cares about all Americans, while her opponent Donald Trump only about himself.

She said this at the national convention of the Democratic Party in Chicago.

"Kamala has the character, experience, and vision to help us move forward," said Clinton, adding that she has known Harris for a long time. "We both started as young lawyers, helping children who were victims of abuse and neglect. Such work changes a person."

According to Clinton, Harris will fight for Americans, for well-paying jobs, and "will restore abortion rights across the country."

"As a prosecutor, Kamala put murderers and drug dealers behind bars, and she will never rest in protecting our freedom and security, whereas Donald Trump fell asleep during his own trial, and when he woke up, he made history as the first person to run for the presidency with 34 criminal charges," said the former Secretary of State.

In her opinion, Harris will defend democracy and the Constitution, protecting America from enemies — both foreign and domestic.

"Kamala cares about children and families, cares about America. Donald cares only about himself," Clinton added, urging to fight "for the truth and for Kamala because she will fight for us."
