In Ukraine, the mechanism for paying compensations and aid to victims of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster has been changed. Now these functions are performed by the Pension Fund of Ukraine. In particular, six types of compensations and assistance are provided to citizens who suffered from the consequences of the disaster: from assistance in the amount of three average salaries to additional payments for work in the exclusion zone.To receive compensations, citizens are required to submit the necessary documents to the Pension Fund no later than two months before the start of the budget year. It has already been reported earlier about the possibility of receiving a one-time compensation in 2025 for people who suffered from explosive objects during the war, as well as financial support for the disabled in Poltava region from the German organization ASB.
