2026 Back-to-School Grant: Families to Receive 5,000 UAH per Child.
School Package 2026: What You Need to Know
According to Novyny.live: First launched in 2025, the 'School Package' initiative will continue into 2026. Under this program, families will receive 5,000 Ukrainian hryvnias to help cover back-to-school expenses—a crucial financial boost for parents during this demanding period. This support is especially timely as many households face rising costs for supplies and clothing ahead of the new academic year.
Parents can submit their applications via the Diia online platform starting July 10. Funds are scheduled to be disbursed in late July through early August.
“Payments must be made between late July and early August so that parents have enough time to get their children ready for school,”explains Denys Ulutin. The money will be loaded onto the 'Diia Card,' streamlining both receipt and spending.
Supporting Families Through Education Costs
In essence, the 'School Package' program continues to empower families by helping them secure essential school supplies for their children. It is critical that parents keep track of the application deadlines and plan their purchases accordingly once the funds arrive.
The extension of the 'School Package' into 2026 underscores the government's commitment to assisting families as they prepare for the school year. This initiative can significantly ease the financial burden on parents, particularly amid ongoing economic uncertainty. Since back-to-school shopping often strains household budgets, this direct financial aid helps ensure that children have access to necessary learning materials and stationery.
