The Colonel of the National Guard has been chosen a preventive measure for corruption in drone procurement: details of the case.
The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has chosen a preventive measure for Colonel Vasyl Myshansky of the National Guard due to his involvement in a corruption case regarding the procurement of drones and electronic warfare systems.
The High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure of detention until September 30, and also set the possibility of posting bail in the amount of two million hryvnias. If the bail is posted, procedural obligations will be imposed on Myshansky.
Prosecutor of the SAP Vitaliy Rybalka indicated that Myshansky received 250 thousand hryvnias for buying more expensive electronic warfare systems from a private enterprise. According to the investigation, the Colonel has ties with former head of the Rubizhne military administration Andriy Yurchenko. This information was confirmed by Myshansky himself, who spoke about receiving a subsidy to improve defense capabilities.
It should be noted that earlier, on August 4, the High Anti-Corruption Court also chose preventive measures for former head of the Mukachevo District Administration Serhiy Haidai and owner of the drone manufacturing company Vladyslav Marchenko. In total, the NABU and SAP announced suspicions for six participants in the corruption scheme, among whom is a member of parliament.
