Where to complain about poor connection? The Minister of Digital Transformation has announced innovations.
Ukrainians will now be able to quickly report problems with connectivity using the 'Diia' app. The Cabinet of Ministers made this decision at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Residents of Ukraine can now promptly report service outages, and regulators will solve these issues. Applications for failures can be submitted even if there is no internet access, calls do not work, or messages cannot be sent.
Minister Mykhailo Fedorov noted that this service will soon be available to all Ukrainians. This will allow citizens to call family, summon emergency services, or use the emergency map, even in the absence of electricity. Using the 'Diia' app, regulators will be able to quickly identify areas with connectivity issues and resolve them.
Earlier, the National Center for Operational and Technical Management of Telecommunications Networks updated the requirements for the operation of mobile operators' base stations during martial law. Within three days, Ukrainian mobile connectivity will be able to function even during power outages. However, mobile operators state that ensuring complete autonomy of connectivity and internet during disruptions is very challenging.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation is also working on stabilizing mobile connectivity during power outages. European partners have provided financial support of $435 million to improve connectivity and restore telecommunications in Ukraine.
