Kudrytskyi assessed the readiness of the Ukrainian energy system for winter.
Main networks of 'Ukrenergo' are ready to provide the necessary electricity load for the upcoming heating season, said the head of the company, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.
According to him, 'Ukrenergo' continues to expand networks for electricity transportation and strengthen the protection of power grids. He emphasized that active protection (anti-aircraft systems) and passive engineering protection are important.
We continue to increase the capacity of electricity transportation specifically by main networks. And, importantly, we continue to enhance the protection of power grids.
Thanks to the measures taken, the consequences of Russian attacks on Ukrainian substations were significantly reduced compared to 2022. However, Kudrytskyi stresses the need to strengthen air defense for the safe operation of the energy system.
He also noted that President Volodymyr Zelensky constantly emphasizes Ukraine's need for additional anti-aircraft systems during meetings with international partners.
