Occupants have filled hospitals in Kherson region with their wounded: civilians are left without medical assistance

Medical facilities on the left bank of the Kherson region are overwhelmed with wounded Russian soldiers, making it nearly impossible for civilians in the occupied areas to receive the necessary medical care.

According to Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, local residents do not have the opportunity to receive treatment according to their needs due to the injured Russians, who are primarily serviced in medical institutions. Everyone is sent to Crimea, where they have to stand in line and pay for medical services.

“Medical facilities are overloaded with wounded occupying soldiers, who mass visit hospitals and receive assistance as a priority. This leads to the situation where local residents cannot receive the necessary medical assistance. Everyone is directed to Crimea, where they have to wait in lines and pay for treatment,” said Oleksandr Tolokonnikov.

Tolokonnikov also emphasized that this situation is causing numerous fatalities due to the lack of necessary medical assistance.

This situation occurs in connection with the attempts by the Russian Federation to create 'grey zones' in Kherson, as well as in connection with the use of certain weapons by Russian troops in southern Ukraine.

Corruption and overcrowding of medical institutions in the eastern part of Kherson region complicate the ability of peaceful residents to seek medical assistance, as hospitals are primarily occupied by Russian soldiers. This can lead to serious consequences for those in need of urgent medical care.
