Merz revealed three principles regarding the war of Russia against Ukraine.
At a small CDU convention held on Monday, Friedrich Merz stated that Germany will continue to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression while also strengthening its own defense capabilities.
'This war is aimed against the entire political order of the European continent.'
Three principles in Merz's work regarding the Ukrainian challenge: protection of freedom and European values, countering sabotage and destabilization in Europe, and Germany's defense readiness.
Merz urged all partners in Europe and the USA to stand by Ukraine, which has become a victim of Russian aggression and the struggle for democracy, freedom, and the rule of law.
The leader of the CDU emphasized the importance of not accepting peace or the facts of war that contradict the will of Ukraine, and to constantly expand Germany's defense capabilities.
The Kremlin had previously threatened Germany over Taurus missiles for Ukraine.
