We have not drawn any conclusions. A famous poet explained to Ukrainians why the war is ongoing.
The famous poet, showman, journalist and television presenter Konstantin Hnatenko shared his views on the Russian-Ukrainian war. He noted that many Ukrainians still do not understand why this war is continuing. According to Hnatenko, this is related to the persistent use of the Russian language in Ukraine. He cited the language of passers-by on the streets as a personal 'quest'. The TV presenter emphasized that many Ukrainians still communicate in Russian, even students of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. This prompted Hnatenko to question parents about raising children who do not speak the Ukrainian language, calling them 'language cripples'.
Hnatenko believes that Ukrainians need to draw conclusions from the Russian-Ukrainian war. He is convinced that it is not worth looking for blame for how Ukrainians have lived for the past 30 years, as we all bear responsibility for our actions. Konstantin expressed hope that this war will not become the last battle of Ukrainians for freedom and independence.
Hnatenko also condemned the murder of language activist Iryna Farion, calling it a tragedy. He believes that Ukraine has lost an outstanding person who could diagnose society, just like Iryna Farion did.
Moreover, Konstantin Hnatenko had previously expressed his dissatisfaction with the language mistakes in the popular song 'Without You'. He has written many hits for famous Ukrainian artists and defined his collaboration with one of them as the most commercially advantageous.
