The hacker group Secret Blizzard, linked to the Russian FSB, used the state communication interception system (SORM) to spy on foreign embassies in Moscow. They posed as a cybersecurity firm but were actually conducting a large-scale cyber espionage campaign, using internet providers to execute breaches.According to Microsoft, the hacker group Secret Blizzard or Turla used Russian internet providers to attack foreign embassies in Moscow. They redirected the internet traffic of victims to malicious software that collected confidential data. The malware ApolloShadow removed encryption from the victims' devices, making their activities easily accessible to hackers.The Russian hacker group has been operating for over 25 years as one of the most sophisticated and resilient, acting in the interests of the FSB of Russia. The U.S. Department of Justice dismantled their computer network in 2023, using Russian internal communication interception systems (SORM) for their attacks.Ukraine is also suffering from cyber attacks, especially from pro-Russian hackers who have executed over a million attacks. At the same time, China is carrying out hacking attacks on Russia, seeking to obtain secret data from Moscow.
