During the past day, October 20, due to shelling and hostilities, consumers in Donetsk, Lviv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions were left without power. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

In particular, in the Sumy region, due to the shelling of a substation, equipment was damaged with subsequent ignition. This caused a power outage at the substation, power lines, and consumers in two regions. The fire was extinguished, and power was restored only partially.

In the Lviv region, as a result of a UAV attack, a power line was damaged, leaving household consumers without power.

In the Chernihiv region, as a result of shelling of a power line, household consumers were left without power. In total, 459 subscribers were left without electricity.

In the Kharkiv region, during an air alert, substations, household consumers, and local industry were left without power. Power has been restored. 

In total, during the past day, power was restored for 190,489 consumers who were left without power due to hostilities and technical disruptions.

As of the morning, 585 settlements remain partially or completely without power due to hostilities and technical issues.

For the current day, it is forecasted that electricity will be imported from Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, and Moldova with a total volume of 6800 MWh and a capacity of 1195 MW.

Recall, on the night of October 21, Russian invaders carried out an airstrike on critical infrastructure in the Romensky district of the Sumy region. This is reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration. It is noted that as a result of the enemy attack, several settlements were left without power. Also, as a result of a night attack by enemy drones on Kyiv, debris of the downed targets fell in the Dniprovskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts of the city. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhiy Popko. It is noted that this night Russia attacked the Ukrainian capital with drones. UAVs approached the city from different directions. In the morning, October 21, in the village of Hlevakha in the Fastiv district, debris hit a five-story building, causing partial destruction of the roof structures.
