Ukraine's eQueue System for Bus Reservations Gets an Overhaul for Short Routes.
eQueue System Functionality Updated
According to Novyny.live: The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine has rolled out an update to its eQueue system, specifically targeting bus operators on short-distance routes. This change is designed to streamline the booking process for carriers operating routes that are under 400 kilometers in length and involve crossing the border two or more times per day. The eQueue system is a key digital tool for managing cross-border passenger transport in Ukraine.
The update applies to short bus routes, which are now defined as those not exceeding 400 km. Furthermore, these routes must involve two or more daily border crossings. This revision aims to better organize transportation logistics and ensure the reservation system aligns with the actual number of permitted border crossings.
Short routes have their own unique characteristics—the same bus can cross the border multiple times in a single day. That's precisely why we updated the system's functionality. Now, the online queue booking will match the actual number of authorized crossings and provide carriers with realistic operational opportunities.

The updated system will go live on January 21 at 9:00 AM, giving carriers time to adjust to the new operational conditions.
Significance of the Update
This upgrade to the eQueue system is a crucial step in improving the efficiency of short-route transportation. This is particularly relevant given the increasing demand for intercity travel. The changes are also expected to enhance coordination between carriers and regulatory authorities, which could positively impact passenger safety and comfort.
