The Ministry of Defense showed how many drones will be produced in Ukraine by the end of the year.
Ukraine is purchasing more than 1.6 million drones worth over 114 billion UAH
The Ministry of Defense, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, has contracted more than 1.6 million unmanned aerial vehicles of various types for a total amount of over 114 billion UAH. According to the Ministry of Defense, so far, an order for 1.28 million drones worth over 81 billion UAH has been fulfilled. By the end of the year, it is planned to deliver an additional 366,940 drones.
Among the purchased drones is a wide range of models, including deep strike drones, FPV-camouflage, reconnaissance copters like the DJI Mavic, reconnaissance aircraft, and winged drones, as well as strike copters and aircraft.
For the next year, the Ministry of Defense has signed a contract for the supply of 155,205 unmanned aerial vehicles worth 32.33 billion UAH. In total, over 1.8 million drones worth nearly 147 billion UAH have been purchased for 2024-2025.
