Ukraine and Romania Launch Direct Train Connection Kyiv - Bucharest: The First Train Has Already Departed.
Ukraine and Romania are establishing a direct train connection from Kyiv to Bucharest. Today, on August 7th, the first passenger train will depart in test mode.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiha, announced this during a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Oana-Silvia Călinescu, in Kyiv.
Direct Train Connection Kyiv - Bucharest
'Today, we are launching a direct train connection between Kyiv and Bucharest in test mode. Two special carriages will depart today to the Romanian capital via Chișinău, and will return to Kyiv tomorrow.', Sybiha explained.
The Minister also noted that soon the train will begin to operate regularly. Expressing gratitude to the Romanian side for the rapid construction of the new bridge over the Tisza River, he emphasized that this will facilitate the opening of a new border crossing point 'Bila Tserkva - Sighetu Marmației'.
These projects are aimed at ensuring the well-being of citizens of both countries and maintaining friendly relations between Ukraine and Romania.
The availability of direct train connections between Kyiv and Bucharest will open new opportunities for cooperation and exchange between the countries, promoting further development of their relations.Read also
