A Moscow woman was robbed in occupied Yalta: the hotel refused to reimburse 500,000 rubles

In Yalta, which is currently under occupation, there was a theft at the hotel where a citizen from Moscow was staying. The woman could not prove the theft and change hotels.

The crime occurred at night when half a million rubles disappeared from the tourist's room. The extremely surprised guest was shocked by the absence of safes in the hotel and the lack of round-the-clock supervision.

This was reported by Russian media.

Half a million rubles disappeared in an unknown direction

Such problems are faced by Russians visiting annexed Crimea.

The Moscow woman, who visited Crimea for her sister's wedding, booked numerous rooms at the hotel for herself and her relatives. However, after three days, she discovered a significant loss of funds.

How the hotel reacted

The money, as claimed by the tourist, was in a bag among the laundry, as the hotel does not provide safes in the rooms. Additionally, her friend was handling the cash in her suitcase.

The woman attempted to suspect the hotel staff member who was cleaning the rooms, but due to the absence of video surveillance, it was impossible to address the situation.

The hotel's statement was that the staff were not connected to the theft and it was likely that the woman simply lost the money herself.

As a result, outraged by the theft and the lack of cleanliness, the Moscow woman was stuck at the hotel since all other establishments were full. Only 20% of the room cost was reimbursed by the administration.

It should also be noted that Russians are not encountering the export of historical valuables from Crimea for the first time, as well as the transformation of the peninsula after the annexation.

The incident that took place in Yalta in occupied Crimea highlights the problems faced by tourists visiting this region. The theft of funds in a hotel without safes and with a weak security system added extra stress for guests, complicating their travel experience. The hotel administration did not take responsibility for the loss of money, and this situation only underscores the problematic aspects of the tourist infrastructure in the occupied region.
