Cyclone brings frost and new power outages to Ukraine: government warning

According to ТСН: Tomorrow, additional interruptions in electricity supply may occur in Ukraine, which will not correspond to the established schedules. The reason is the worsening weather conditions.

This was reported by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

“We expect a worsening of weather conditions in Ukraine starting tomorrow throughout the country. The cyclone will enter Ukraine through the Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions around four in the morning,” the Prime Minister warned.

According to forecasts, at night the temperature may drop to -20°C, and during the day to -10°C.

According to Svyrydenko, possible interruptions in electricity supply may occur due to snow sticking to the power lines and complicating traffic on the roads.

“The energy system of Ukraine is under daily attacks from the enemy, and energy workers are operating in extremely difficult conditions to provide people with light and heat. The worsening weather conditions create an additional burden on critical infrastructure. We are working to minimize the consequences of the bad weather,” she assured.

The Prime Minister urged Ukrainians to be cautious, limit travel during the peak of the bad weather, and follow the messages from local authorities and profile services.

The weather situation may significantly affect the daily lives of Ukrainians. Safety recommendations during winter storms remain relevant, and it is important to monitor official information to avoid dangerous situations.
