The 2023 Munich Security Conference

According to UATV: The Munich Security Conference (MSC) will be held from February 13 to 15, with the war in Ukraine set to be its central focus. Political analyst Dmytro Levus stressed that Russia's war against Ukraine poses a threat to the whole of Europe. For the first time, a 'Ukraine House' will operate at the conference, featuring an exhibition on the threats to European security.

At the conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will receive the Ewald von Kleist Award. This event underscores Ukraine's critical importance to the security of the European continent.

"As long as Ukraine defends Europe, the danger is not so great,"
said Wolfgang Ischinger. Consequently, the Munich gathering will serve as a vital platform for discussing the situation in Ukraine and its impact on security across Europe. The MSC is a premier annual forum where senior officials and experts debate global security policy.

Challenges and Opportunities

This year's conference will provide the international community with an opportunity to focus on the challenges facing the continent and will foster constructive dialogue on the next steps in supporting Ukraine.

The Munich Security Conference has long been a key venue for discussing global challenges affecting international security. In light of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and its consequences for European stability, Ukraine's role in these discussions is especially pertinent. The debates at the conference may influence the formation of international policy regarding support for Ukraine and collective action against aggression, which in turn could shape the future security trajectory of Europe.
