The Foreign Ministry responded to the statements of the Polish Deputy Prime Minister regarding Warsaw's involvement in the war.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine published a comment regarding statements by Polish high-ranking officials that Ukraine wants to involve Poland in the war.
We consider the statements of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digitalization of the Republic of Poland regarding the alleged desire of the President of Ukraine to involve Poland in the war with Russia through the downing of Russian missiles over the territory of Ukraine to be unfounded. We are convinced that the downing of Russian missiles and drones flying towards Poland over the territory of Ukraine, and not over the territory of Poland itself, corresponds to the security interests of Poland and its citizens.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that Russia is waging war not only against Ukraine but also against the European security architecture, an important part of which is Poland. Overcoming Russian aggression against Ukraine is an important interest of Poland.
Russian missiles and drones that violate the airspace of Poland and other European countries indicate provocations and threats from Russia. In such conditions, talking about Ukraine wanting to involve Poland in the war is unacceptable. On the contrary, Ukraine's resistance prevents the spread of war and security threats to Poland.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes it is important to maintain solidarity between Ukraine and Poland in the face of Russian aggression and strives to continue active cooperation for victory over the enemy and the restoration of peace.
