Only one functioning maternity hospital remains in Donetsk region.
There is only one maternity hospital that continues to operate in the city of Sloviansk, which is controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Administration.
According to the Donetsk Regional Administration, 59 children were born in this maternity hospital in December last year, and during the year, 572 new residents were born in Sloviansk.
The first girl born in the maternity hospital in Sloviansk was a child born on January 1, 2025.
Recently, Russian troops advanced near Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, and Kursk region. This is evidenced by geolocation data, and reports about it are included in the report of analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
MP Mykola Dovbня from the Druzhkivka city council considers the situation at the front to be 'somewhat strange.' According to him, the occupiers are trying to bypass the cities of Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk.
Earlier, former chief of staff Muzhenko exposed the Russians' plans regarding Pokrovsk. According to him, the goal of the occupiers is not to capture Pokrovsk but to block the city.
