The fairytale residence of Saint Nicholas has opened in Lviv region.
The fairytale residence of Saint Nicholas has opened in Olesko Castle in the Lviv region. This residence will be operational for three days. This was reported by Lviv City Council deputy Ihor Zinkevych.
According to Zinkevych, the Olesko Castle can be visited by the whole family. The cost of the entrance ticket for a family is UAH 500.
“The children will be able to send their letters and share their most cherished wishes, while the parents will enjoy the magical atmosphere of the ancient castle and warm advice from the Miracle Worker about what their children are hoping for under the pillow this year,” he noted.
The castle is located in the village of Olesko, in the Busk city territorial community of the Zolochiv district in the Lviv region.
Schedule of the Saint Nicholas residence:
- November 29 – from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM;
- November 30 – from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM;
- December 1 – from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
It is worth reminding that Saint Nicholas Day is one of the favorite children's holidays. Saint Nicholas brings smiles and joy to children, as well as reminds them of the importance of being polite and obedient. Last year, Ukrainians celebrated Saint Nicholas Day together with most Christians around the world for the first time. Thanks to the church calendar reform, the holiday date became more accurate, and the Christmas and New Year season began earlier.
It should be noted that previously, the Day of Remembrance of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker in Ukraine was celebrated on December 19, but in 2023, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) changed the dating system.
