Russian troops surrounded Siversk: the situation in the direction has critically worsened.
According to ТСН: In the Donetsk region, the situation in the Siversk direction has significantly escalated over the past month: Russian troops have surrounded Siversk from the flanks, cut off the logistical routes of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and advanced into the city limits.
This was reported by volunteer and public figure Serhiy Sternenko on Telegram.
Problems at the front
According to Sternenko, some of the difficulties in this direction could have been resolved by improving logistical support.
"Over the past month, the Russians have managed to surround Siversk from the flanks, cut off the logistics of the Defense Forces, and advance into the city itself. Some of the existing problems there could have been resolved by increasing the logistical support of units and improving interaction. The issue of staffing brigades with personnel is also acute," he said.
Sternenko also noted that, despite numerous signals about the crisis situation in this section of the front, the attention of the higher military command remains insufficient.
The role of volunteers
Volunteers, he said, do not have the ability to influence organizational decisions but can provide assistance in the technical support of units. In particular, there is a critical shortage of quality FPV drones in the Siversk direction.
It is also known that earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the issue of a possible creation of a demilitarized or free economic zone in the Donetsk region remains undefined and carries significant risks for Ukraine.
The situation at the front raises many questions about the effectiveness of military command and the need for support from volunteers. It is important to find ways to improve logistical support to strengthen the defensive positions of Ukrainian forces in crisis conditions.
