The police reported on the delivery of suspicion to the head of the territorial recruitment and social support center
In the Ternopil region, law enforcement officers handed over a suspicion to an official who demanded a bribe from a conscript in exchange for a deferment from mobilization. This information was disseminated by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Under the procedural guidance of the Special Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector of the Western region, suspicion was reported to the head of the district territorial recruitment and social support center. He is charged with receiving undue benefit by an official (part 3 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) - the message says.
According to the investigation, the official demanded a bribe of 1,000 liters of diesel, equivalent to $1,500, from a conscript in exchange for a deferment from mobilization.
Law enforcement officers uncovered the criminal activities of the official of the recruitment and social support center and caught him red-handed. A preventive measure was chosen for him - detention with the option for bail and he was suspended from duties - notes the Office of the Prosecutor General.
It is worth recalling that the recruitment and social support centers in Volyn demanded bribes from men who were wanted for evading mobilization. They offered to remove them from the wanted list, reports the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine.
In addition, the State Bureau of Investigation uncovered and detained the son of an official from the Vinnytsia military registration and enlistment office, who demanded $20,000 for processing a package of documents for traveling abroad.
