A Memorial of Honor and Glory for Fallen Heroes was Opened in Dzhuryn
On September 29th, a Memorial of Honor and Glory for Fallen Heroes was opened in the Dzhuryn village community. Villagers honored the defenders who died fighting against the occupiers. This was reported by the Vinnytsia Regional Council.
The event was attended by government representatives, families of fallen soldiers, and community residents. The Reverend Vasyl Vavryk, dean of the united Zhmerinka and Sharhorod districts, and Father Myroslav Mahdalyuk, pastor of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Dzhuryn, performed the consecration of the memorial plaques.
«In the fight for Ukraine's independence, 35 warriors from the Dzhuryn community have died. My condolences to the families and eternal memory to the Heroes. The war has been going on for 10 years. Russia continues to kill, destroy, and annihilate. And for all these crimes, it must be held accountable!» – said the head of the regional council, Vyacheslav Sokolovyi.
Attendees laid flowers at the Memorial of Honor and Glory for Fallen Heroes and observed a moment of silence for all the military and civilians who have died due to Russian aggression.
