The damaged stele in Pokrovsk impresses Ukrainian soldiers

On January 2, Ukrainian soldiers noticed that the stele with the name of the city in Pokrovsk had been destroyed. This was reported by serviceman Pavlo Vyshebaba on Facebook.

'We were just driving to work and saw that the letter 'P' had been thrown onto the road, I stopped and put it in the trunk. I think it should become an artifact in the future museum of the Russo-Ukrainian war,' wrote Pavlo Vyshebaba.

He emphasized that such remnants of history belong to the Ukrainian people and should not be put up for auction.

'A great price is paid for the city to remain on the map just like these letters: blue and yellow,' wrote the serviceman.

It is known that the Russian occupation army is advancing towards the highway from Pokrovsk to Dnipro, which is important for the Defense Forces and humanitarian missions in Donbas. This information was reported by MP Mykola Dovbnya from Druzhkivka. He called the situation at the front 'somewhat strange' and emphasized that the highway has great capacity. Many people continue to stay in Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, and Druzhkivka.

Earlier, former Chief of Staff Muzhenko revealed the Russians' plans regarding Pokrovsk. According to him, the occupiers do not aim to capture the city, but they want to block it.

Also, the international publication Bloomberg emphasizes the intentions of the Russian-occupied forces to take the critically important mine in Pokrovsk. Therefore, Kyiv's allies must provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance.
