KMVA Chief Popko reported on the consequences and number of UAV strikes on Kyiv in October.

During October, 20 full-scale drone strikes were carried out on Kyiv. Only on one day in the capital was no air alert declared. This was reported by KMVA Chief Serhiy Popko.

The KMVA chief also spoke about the consequences of the UAV attack on the capital on the night of October 31.

«The twentieth air attack on Kyiv in October! As in the last attacks, the armed forces of the Russian Federation used UAVs again. Drones approached Kyiv in waves and from various directions. The air alert in the capital was announced twice during the night and lasted a total of two and a half hours. All Russian drones threatening Kyiv were neutralized by air defense and electronic warfare forces (the exact number and type of drones will be announced by the Air Force)», wrote Popko in Telegram.

Popko also reported that as a result of the enemy's attack drones in the Podilskyi district of the city, falling debris was recorded. A fire broke out in an open area, which was quickly extinguished. As a result of the attack, windows in two two-story residential buildings and in one administrative building were damaged.

There is preliminary data on damage to a high-voltage power line. No information about casualties was received.

«Summing up October, the month was tense in terms of enemy air attacks on Kyiv. 20 full-scale drone airstrikes. In 31 days, only one day did not have an alert in the capital. Otherwise, Kyiv residents usually heard sirens on average twice a day», summarized KMVA chief.

Popko noted that this indicates constant, systematic terror on the peaceful civilian population of Ukraine.

«But we must withstand all the challenges of the enemy. For this, I ask the residents of Kyiv and guests of the city - be conscious and disciplined. Always follow the rules of conduct when an air alert is announced - go to the shelter! Take care of yourself!» added Serhiy Popko.
