Head of Kharkiv Region Police Resigned from Position

Volodymyr Tymosko, the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, announced on November 8 that he had been dismissed from his position. He will continue to work in the National Police, but in a different position. He announced this in his Facebook post.

The 989th day of the invasion was the 989th and last day of my tenure as the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region. From today, I am taking another position in the system of the National Police of Ukraine

Tymosko did not specify which position he will take next.

On February 24, 2022, I went to my native city with the sole order of the President of Ukraine and the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, NPU - "Hold Kharkiv," and this order, along with all the defense forces and the police garrison, I fulfilled. The score is on the board.

In his post, he noted that he is proud of his work and the police team he led. He expressed confidence that the level of respect among Kharkiv residents for the police will remain.

Tymosko emphasized that he leaves behind a functioning and battle-ready police unit that will fulfill its duties.

I take with me the earned (I believe) piece of reinforced concrete, as well as a piece of respect for the police, respect from friends, brothers, with whom shoulder to shoulder I passed through this extremely difficult Time, and the memory of those who are no longer with us. Thanks to each and every police officer in the team I led. You are the best. Thanks to all the brothers and sisters who were nearby. Thanks to the leadership of the State, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the NPU for trusting me with the task of defending Kharkiv, for the support and help. The plan is as follows: work, Victory in the war. Everything will be Ukraine. Honor to serve

Representatives of the National Police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs currently do not comment on this personnel decision. It is known that the decision to dismiss Tymosko was made no later than November 7 and is not related to any claims about his work in the position.

Earlier, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, spoke about his son's participation in the war.

Let us remind you that 160,000 more people are planned to be mobilized to the Defense Forces. A total of 1,050,000 citizens have been brought into the armed forces.
