The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the results of the Armed Forces' activities for 2024. He reported this on social media.
«We are destroying the aggressor by all possible means. Since the beginning of 2024, total losses in combat with the occupiers have already exceeded 421 thousand people, killed and wounded. This year, the Russians paid the highest price since the beginning of their invasion of Ukraine. The total losses of the enemy during this Time amount to approximately 785 thousand military personnel», – the message states.
Syrsky reminded that last year the Armed Forces of Ukraine created the Drone Forces. Compared to the previous year, the supply of drones to our units increased 19 times. The number of enemy targets hit and destroyed increased by 3.7 times.
This year, the duration of basic training for conscripts was also increased.
Let us remind you that the war is now on its 1039th day. The enemy yesterday launched attacks on the territory of Ukraine: 37 air strikes, dropping 43 guided bombs. In addition, they used over 808 kamikaze drones and carried out more than 4300 shellings.
In total, since the beginning of the last day, there have been 158 combat encounters. Ukrainian defenders continue to repel the enemy's attempts to advance into the territory, inflicting fire damage on them.
