A video is gaining popularity online featuring a policeman from the Kyiv region who talks for a long Time about his love for the Ukrainian language. The video was published by the 'Glavkom' outlet with references from sources in the police.

We all know that public servants must pass a special exam in the Ukrainian language to confirm their level of knowledge and skills. This exam, which includes test and written tasks, lasts for 60 minutes.

The oral part of the exam consists of delivering a monologue on a chosen topic. Participants must demonstrate their ability to formulate thoughts according to the communication tasks.

According to information from open sources, the video features a policeman from the Kyiv region named Serhii Babin, who apparently works in Boryspil. He consistently emphasizes his love for the Ukrainian language and makes efforts to explain what it means to him.

In the video, Serhii Babin says: 'Language is a value, I love the language. Language is life, language is like the nightingales sing. I love the language. I communicate in the language, the language is the best language. I would be nothing without the language. Language is what was written in Ukrainian 'Kobzar'. The best language is only the Ukrainian language. Language is the best poems written by poets.'

This video became popular on social networks. Some people have an understanding attitude towards the policeman, as he likely was not prepared for the exam. However, many people are shocked by his knowledge and manner of expression.

According to comments from local residents of Boryspil, Serhii Babin has a negative reputation in the city due to corruption allegations. After the video was published online, the leadership of the Boryspil police department may likely transfer Babin to service in Kyiv.

Recall that in an interview, the head of the State Language Standards Commission, Yulia Chernobrov, talked about new exams in the Ukrainian language, the language certificate for ministers, and commented on the scandal that occurred in 2022.
