NBU presents a coin with a hidden code: how to buy.
The National Bank of Ukraine has issued a commemorative coin 'Digital State' as a symbol of technological progress and the digital transformation of the country. The coin was presented at the UAFIN.TECH 2024 conference, where leading representatives of the government, financial, and technology sectors gathered.
According to the chairman of the National Bank, Andrii Pyshnyi, digital transformation is of great importance, and even during wartime, Ukraine continues to develop innovative technologies. He also added that the country is gradually bringing citizens closer to government services and financial services.
Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov spoke about the successes of digitization. Over the past five years, the Ministry of Digital Transformation has implemented the project to build a digital state. The 'Diia' application is used by over 21 million Ukrainians and provides access to more than 30 services in the app and over 125 on the portal.
The 'Digital State' commemorative coin features a unique design. The obverse depicts the State Emblem of Ukraine, surrounded by an electronic network, symbolizing the technological unity of the country. The reverse of the coin contains a map of Ukraine with binary code encrypted with the name 'UKRAINE', as well as the inscription 'Digital State' with a mouse cursor.
The coin is made of 999 silver, has a denomination of 10 hryvnias, a weight of 31.1 grams, and a circulation of up to 7500 copies. Starting from January 9, 2025, it will be available for purchase in the NBU online store and from bank distributors.
This coin symbolizes not only monetary value but also progress in technology and Ukraine's ability to develop and innovate in challenging geopolitical conditions.
