The commander of the unmanned systems battalion has died

In the war with the Russian aggressor, the commander of the 420th separate unmanned systems battalion, Colonel Serhiy Lipsky, known by the call sign "Chornomor", died. A knight of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of two degrees remained at his post until the end, as he did not want to let his subordinates down. The loss was reported on  Facebook  by human rights activist, co-founder and coordinator of the Media Initiative for Human Rights Olga Reshetylova.

The big kind heart of Serhiy Oleksiyovych Lipsky, "Chornomor", the acting commander of the 420th separate battalion, long-Time chief of artillery of the 57th brigade, a knight of two Bohdans and Danylo, has stopped beating. It should have continued to beat but couldn't withstand 10 years of war and great responsibility for the people he loved so much. - she wrote.

It is also reported that  the elderly warrior postponed an urgent surgery because he didn't want to leave his brothers-in-arms and go from the front. 

The author emphasized that Serhiy Oleksiyovych always finished any message or comment on social media with the words "With respect, Chornomor." He truly treated people with great respect and love. He believed that every military personnel should have the opportunity to return home to family and loved ones at every slightest opportunity.

The commander also always asked not to disturb those returning from the frontline and to create conditions for their rest. He loved to praise his subordinates and was proud of them. He always felt inconvenient to distract or ask someone for something unnecessarily.

By his age and health condition "Chornomor" could have been demobilized long ago. This year in July he had an urgent surgery planned, but he was appointed commander of the battalion, which he considered a great honor and responsibility.

Let's recall, on September 16, 2024, near the settlement of Druzhba, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region, soldier Bohdan Lysyi died. The death of the defender of Ukraine was reported by the Tulchyn regional state administration. 

Earlier it became known that in the Sarny district of Rivne region, a father and son died as a result of a grenade explosion.

Let us remind you that in the war, military surgeon Myroslav Debenko from Ivano-Frankivsk fell – after the beginning of the great war, he returned from abroad, where he worked as a maxillofacial surgeon, and went to defend his land. His death was reported on the website of the Ivano-Frankivsk Medical Professional College, where the warrior studied and worked.
