14-year-old Ukrainian girl rescued from occupation: how the Bring Kids Back UA initiative works.
The successful operation as part of the initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky brought joyful results, which were announced by the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak. Thanks to this initiative, a 14-year-old girl who was in the temporarily occupied territory has been rescued.
Andriy Yermak reported this on Telegram.
After the girl's father, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, passed away, the child found herself in difficult conditions with relatives in the occupied territory, where local guardianship authorities forced her to be sent to an orphanage in Russia. Due to the productive work of the Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights, it was possible to gather all the necessary documents, organize transportation, and transfer the girl to Ukrainian territory, where she received support and is safe with her grandmother.
It should be noted that the former ombudsman of Ukraine Mykola Kuleba discovered facts of the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russian forces. The overall goal of the President's team is to return all Ukrainian children to their homeland.
- The Ukrainian girl who was in the occupied territory has been rescued and is now receiving support in areas controlled by Ukraine. The Bring Kids Back UA initiative has yielded positive results, allowing children to return home, to safety and relatives, supporting their vital process of adaptation and recovery after difficult experiences.
