Work has begun on the third runway
According to The Sun: Construction has started on the third runway at King Salman Airport in Riyadh. This airport, expected to open in 2030, will become the largest in the world and will be able to serve up to 185 million passengers a year.
The new runway will be 4,200 meters long.
“This project will be an important step in the development of the country's infrastructure.”
The implementation of this initiative will help improve transport capabilities and contribute to the growth of the region's economy.
The King Salman Airport project is part of a broader national development strategy aimed at expanding Saudi Arabia's tourism and business potential. In addition to the new airport, there are plans to develop other infrastructure facilities that will transform Riyadh into an important transit hub on the world map.
