Russian forces launched a barrage of 25 'Shahed' drones over a period exceeding two hours, striking residential buildings, apartment blocks, private homes, a dormitory, a hospital, and a maternity ward. Mayor Ihor Terekhov described the city's ordeal, stating that the massive attack lasted nearly two and a half hours. He reported:
