On the night of August 19, the Poltava region once again became the target of massive shelling. As a result of the attack, damage and hits were recorded in the Kremenchuk and Lubny districts. Administrative buildings of energy sector enterprises were affected.

Volodymyr Kohut, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, confirmed this information.

In the Poltava region, part of the consumers remained without electricity

The biggest problems with electricity supply occurred in the Lubny district, where 1471 household consumers and 119 legal entities were left without power.

Currently, emergency energy crews and State Emergency Service rescuers are working on site to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and restore critical infrastructure. Despite significant destruction, casualties among the civilian population have been avoided.

It is reminded that Russia continues daily attacks on Ukraine. Recently, strong explosions were heard in Odesa, and in Kharkiv, an entire family died after a Russian strike, and a rescue operation is ongoing.

The Poltava region was once again affected by shelling, causing significant destruction and leading to power outages in some areas. Rescue services and energy workers are on site to restore infrastructure and provide assistance to those affected. The situation is under control, but the threat remains.
