10,800 UAH Per Family Member: New Financial Aid Launches in Four Ukrainian Regions.
Cash Assistance for War-Affected Families in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: A new financial support program has been introduced for families impacted by the war in four regions of Ukraine. The initiative is run by the charitable foundation 'Unity for the Future' with backing from the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine.
Who Qualifies and How Much Will They Receive?
Families in the Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Sumy regions will receive 10,800 Ukrainian hryvnias per person. This support is structured for a six-month period, equating to 1,800 hryvnias monthly. Successful applicants may also qualify for up to 216,000 hryvnias through additional financial aid from the Czech Republic. Furthermore, a separate one-time payment of 10,000 hryvnias is available for Ukrainians with disabilities to purchase solid fuel. Applications for this disability-specific aid are accepted until October 15, 2026.
Registration for financial assistance is completed via an online form on the foundation's website. Application reviews take between seven and ten business days. After document verification, the finance department processes the information, which can take an additional seven to ten business days. This initiative represents a vital step in supporting families who have suffered due to the armed conflict.
Introducing cash aid for war-affected individuals in Ukraine is a crucial element of supporting vulnerable populations, especially amid the ongoing conflict.
This assistance can significantly ease the financial burden on families who have lost income sources or faced other hardships because of the war. The additional payments for people with disabilities highlight a focus on the needs of this group, which is critically important under the difficult circumstances currently facing the country.
