The Ukrainian president appointed Lieutenant General and Hero of Ukraine since 2023 – Anatoliy Kryvonozhko as the head of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Anatoliy Kryvonozhko
Anatoliy Kryvonozhko is a famous participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war and a lieutenant general. He was awarded for his courage during the conflict in 2022.
Anatoliy Kryvonozhko was born on July 23, 1965. Throughout his career, he has led various units, including the 114th Tactical Aviation Brigade and the 'Center' Air Command.
During his command, over 1160 aerial targets, more than 100 ground targets, and one surface target were destroyed.
Since the beginning of last year, he temporarily performed the duties of the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and now he holds this position permanently.

This appointment is an additional step toward strengthening Ukraine's defense capability and national security.
