‘Limited Fit’ Need to Retake the Military Medical Commission: TCC Named the Deadlines.
Military liable citizens who previously had the status ‘limited fit’ must retake the military medical commission (MMC). This needs to be done by February 5, 2025, informed Alexander Bodin, the head of the military accounting department of the Rivne Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support during an interview with ‘Suspilne’.
‘On May 4, law No. 3621 came into force, which effectively canceled the status of "limited fit". This law also defines a 9-month period for the military liable with such status to undergo a repeated medical examination by military medical commissions and obtain one of the current statuses,’ said a representative of the TCC.
Bodin also clarified that the status ‘fit for military service’ means that the liable citizen can be appointed to any position in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Besides, there are Ukrainians, ‘fit to serve in supply units, TCC and SS, as well as in higher military educational institutions’.
However, there are also other categories of military liable citizens. ‘Temporarily unfit’ require treatment or leave. There are also categories ‘unfit’ with a reassessment in 6–12 months and ‘unfit’ with exclusion from military records.
By the way, in Ukraine, the rules for passing the military medical commission have changed. The new mechanism was explained by the Director of the Department of Health of the Defense Ministry Oksana Sukhurokova during a telemarathon.
Earlier ‘Glavkom’ collected a complete list of diseases that are grounds for the MMC's decision on unfitness for military service and exclusion from military records.
For the record, if a mobilized person lives not at the place of registration, this will not hinder the update of data in the Territorial Recruitment Centers. After entering the data into the unified register at the old registration place, a man will automatically be removed from the records.
Procedure of the Military Medical Commission
President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed the mobilization law on April 16. The next day, April 17, in the official parliamentary publication ‘Holos Ukrainy’ the text of the mobilization law was published. The document will take effect in one month and one day from the date of its publication.
