On September 14, another 103 Ukrainians who were held in Russian captivity returned to Ukraine. This Time, among the released were 38 National Guard members. The release measures also involved 28 Armed Forces of Ukraine military personnel, including 2 members of the "Kraken" special unit, 2 members of the International Legion, 3 members of the Special Operations Forces, and 1 member of the Territorial Defense Forces. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Also returning were 8 border guards, 4 police officers, 21 naval servicemen, 3 representatives of the State Special Transport Service, and 1 member of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

This time, all the released were men: 82 soldiers and sergeants, as well as 21 officers. Most of them suffered serious injuries or wounds and have severe illnesses. They need immediate medical assistance.

These Ukrainian military personnel took part in the defense against Russian occupiers in various regions: the city of Mariupol (69 people, including 31 defenders of "Azovstal"), Donetsk region, Luhansk region, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Kyiv directions. Among the released there are also 2 guards from the Chernobyl NPP.

"Most of them suffered serious injuries or wounds and have severe illnesses, hence they need immediate medical care. The government of Ukraine has been working for a long time to organize the return of these compatriots," reported the Main Directorate of Intelligence.

The released military personnel will undergo medical examination and receive opportunities for physical and psychological rehabilitation, as well as due payments for the time spent in captivity. The process of their reintegration into society is also ensured.

Currently, more than 900 "Azov" fighters are held in Russian captivity, but yesterday it was possible to return 49 civilians and military personnel from Russian captivity to Ukraine.
