March 19 Attacks in Zaporizhzhia: One Dead, Two Wounded.
Strikes Across the Zaporizhzhia Region
According to Novyny.live: On March 19, 2023, Russian shelling in the Zaporizhzhia region claimed the life of one person and left two others injured. The attacks occurred in the settlements of Bilenke, Zalyvne, and near the village of Veselyanka.
In Bilenke, Russian forces dropped four guided aerial bombs. The strike on a local market wounded a 48-year-old woman. In Zalyvne, a 49-year-old resident was hurt. The most severe loss took place near Veselyanka, where a 33-year-old man was killed by an FPV drone attack.
Impact on Local Communities
Fires broke out in two of the affected settlements, requiring emergency response. The blaze in one village covered 20 square meters, while the other spanned 40 square meters. Russia launched its assault on Zaporizhzhia city and the surrounding region starting the night of March 19. Additionally, the city experienced widespread power outages due to the massive strikes.
These attacks are part of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which has already caused numerous casualties and widespread destruction in targeted regions. The Zaporizhzhia area, in particular, has become a hotspot for active hostilities, drawing constant attention from international organizations and humanitarian agencies.
