One of the leaders of the detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) was remanded by the court in Kyiv on July 22. Ruslan Maghamedrasulov was taken into custody.

The court decided to remand Maghamedrasulov in custody until August 16 without the right to bail.

As it is known, today’s session was closed, as the prosecutor and defense submitted a request for a closed proceeding. The judge granted it.

It should be noted that Ruslan Maghamedrasulov is the head of one of the interregional detective units of NABU. He was detained on July 21 during searches conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Recall that on July 21, the SBU conducted searches of NABU employees. The special operation was aimed at neutralizing Russian influence on the Bureau.

Thus, one of the leaders of NABU detectives was detained. He acted as an intermediary in selling batches of technical hemp from his father to Russia. This specifically refers to Ruslan Maghamedrasulov.

On July 22, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a draft law that subordinates NABU and SAP to the Prosecutor General. Ruslan Stefanchuk has already signed this document and sent it for signing to Volodymyr Zelensky.

At the same time, the heads of anti-corruption agencies urged the president to veto the law. The heads of NABU and SAP stated that this hinders the functioning of the anti-corruption system in the country.

In Kyiv, the court decided to remand NABU detective chief Ruslan Maghamedrasulov in custody without the right to bail until August. He was detained during searches conducted by the SBU and the Office of the Prosecutor General, suspected of mediating in the sale of hemp to Russia. Meanwhile, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law that subordinates NABU and SAP to the Prosecutor General, however, the heads of anti-corruption agencies intend to oppose this decision, claiming that it threatens the operation of the anti-corruption system in Ukraine.
