Serhiy Daynenko becomes an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs and commander of the border unit.
According to ТСН: Serhiy Daynenko has been appointed as an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and will continue his military service.
Appointment and Expectations
This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.
“As an advisor, I expect his expert support, advice based on combat experience, and participation in developing solutions in the field of state border security. In addition, Serhiy Daynenko has decided to continue his military service while remaining an advisor. Thus, after a brief rehabilitation, he will be appointed as the commander of the combat unit of the State Border Guard Service,” he noted.
Changes in the Security System
President Volodymyr Zelensky initiated significant changes in the security apparatus of Ukraine. He appointed military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov as head of the President's Office and submitted the candidacy for a new Minister of Defense.
Oleh Ivashchenko, who heads the Foreign Intelligence Service, became the new head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Denys Shmyhal, the Minister of Defense and former Prime Minister, will also be transferred to another position. The President reported that he proposed to Shmyhal to become the First Vice Prime Minister and head the Ministry of Energy.
These changes reflect the leadership's desire to strengthen the security and defense capabilities of Ukraine in the face of persistent challenges. The appointment of Daynenko to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as new positions in military intelligence and the Ministry of Defense, aims to generate effective strategies to ensure national security in difficult times.
