10 Monthly Payments as a One-Time Pension Bonus in 2026: Who Qualifies in Ukraine.
Financial Support When Applying for a Pension in Ukraine in 2026
According to Novyny.live: In 2026, certain groups of Ukrainian citizens will be eligible for a one-time state financial payment upon applying for a pension, provided they meet specific conditions. This applies to employees of state and municipal institutions working in education, healthcare, and social protection sectors.
To receive this benefit, men must have at least 35 years of insurance coverage, while women need at least 30 years. The one-time payment will equal ten monthly pension installments as of the retirement date and will be tax-exempt. It is important to note that applicants must not be receiving any other pension benefits before their pension is granted.
Lifetime Pension Supplement
Additionally, a lifetime pension supplement is planned for 2026 for individuals who raised five children up to the age of six. This supplement will range from 908 to 1,038 hryvnias per month. These new measures offer financial support to specific groups of citizens at a crucial time in their lives.
These changes to Ukraine's pension system aim to assist socially vulnerable populations, particularly workers in fields that significantly impact societal development. The introduction of the one-time payment and the lifetime supplement reflects the state's efforts to ensure financial stability for those who have dedicated many years to public service and raising children. This could positively affect the living standards of certain citizens as they enter retirement.
