GRU Officer Disclosed the Likely Scenario for Ending the War.
Evgeny Shkirkov, known as "Viking", the commander of the sapper service of the special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kraken, believes that the war in Ukraine will end through negotiations and agreements. He expressed his opinion during an interview with Online.UA. According to Shkirkov, Russia is a very large country, and simply a victorious march to China or Japan would be impossible.
Shkirkov noted that currently, Russia is not experiencing internal collapse, although there are already preconditions for this. He also noted that Ukraine's opponents have more advantages in negotiations, but the further development of the situation will depend not only on military actions.
"You can take it, but can you hold it?" - emphasized the commander, commenting on the situation with Crimea.
Shkirkov also explained why some countries do not grant Ukraine permission to use Western weapons against Russia. According to him, some allies are afraid that Russia will study unexploded missiles and improve its armaments.
Concluding the interview, Shkirkov emphasized that Ukraine is already using drones for attacks on Russia, but missiles are needed for more accurate and effective strikes.
